Formulation and evaluation of polyherbal hair gel

In the past couple of decades, there has been extraordinary development in field of herbal medicine. The extract of different parts of plant showed promising pharmacological action. One of these herbs named Tridax procumbens contains numerous pharmacological properties; it goes about as wound healing, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral and anti-fungal. In the present research work an attempt was made to prepare the polyherbal hair gel containing petroleum ether extract of Tridax procumbens and Eclipta alba. The prepared formulation showed good physicochemical characteristics and excellent absorption capacity. The formulated polyherbal hair gel containing petroleum ether extract of Tridax procumbens and Eclipta alba leaves showed good antifungal activity against Candida albicans.
