As an analgesic and antipyretic, paracetamol is widely used; nevertheless, high dosages can have unfavorable side effects, including hepatotoxicity. The hepatoprotectivity and wound-healing properties of Cucurbita maxima have been shown in this study. Hepatotoxicity triggered by paracetamol has been assessed by a rise (P<0.001) in serum Aspartate Aminotransferase. Alanine Transaminase, Alkaline Phosphatase and bilirubin levels were considerably lower (P<0.001) than the albumin level. The administrations of methanolic and chloroformic extracts have shown promising effects against the paracetamol induced hepatotoxicity. The bio-functional qualities of Cucurbita maxima, which are important for the healing of wounds, have been the subject of extensive research for many years. These features include antioxidant, radical scavenger, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory effects. Cucurbita maxima additionally demonstrated the impact of wound restoration since its active principle promoted the synthesis of growth factors involved in the healing process of wounds. The chloroformic extract has shown promising wound closure of 94.3% as compared to methanolic extract 87.6%. The study results indicated hepatoprotective and wound healing activities.
