Medicinal plants are one of the sources of medicine having a wide range of bioactive compounds that possess the therapeutic efficacy for the treatment of various ailments. The formulations of two or more herbs are known as polyherbal formulation and the concept of polyherbalism is focus with the concept of synergism for potent healing efficacy. The scientific reports of polyherbal formulation were collected from the sources available in the scientific Journals, Books and other search databases such as Google Scholar, Pub Med Central, Web of Science, Scopus and Science Direct. The present reviews provide the information of the marketed name of polyherbal formulation, its ingredient or the composition as well as their pharmacological activities. The analysis also reported the effectiveness of the herbal products for the treatment of numerous diseases such as anti-diabetic, hepatoprotective, common cold, antiplasmodial, antioxidants, antiasthmatic activity, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, skin disorder, Wound healing, Mood disorder, Cardiovascular disorder, Antihyperlipidemic and Anthelmintic. The overview of the present investigation also provides the importance of traditional system of medicine because these herbal products were a combination of different medicinal plants with various chemical compounds that are effective for healing. Polyherbal formulation is widely used in all around the globes but the standardization and the quality control is still unexplored, therefore; the scientist and the researchers need to give an importance to development these mixture of medicinal plants in clinical ways to compete with the synthetic drugs available in the market. Lastly, the presented database will not only provide the information of marketed Polyherbal formulation but the importance of medicinal value of the plants source and their secondary metabolites.
