Hydrogels: A Multifaceted Contemporary Approaches and Advancements

There has been substantial advancement in recent being in addressing the clinical and pharmacological limitations of hydrogels for drug delivery applications but substantial challenges remain robust. Here we discuss recent progress in hydrogel system overcoming some issues arising in due course of delivering hydrogels effectively inside the body without implantation, prolonging the release kinetics of drugs from hydrogels, and expanding the nature of drugs which can be delivered using hydrogel-based approaches. At this juncture very recent approaches and advancements in the hydrogel delivery of drugs and its various multifaceted applications are discussed.
