Abstract

Nanoparticles are defined as a small objects that behaves as a whole unit with respect to its transport and properties. Particles are further classified according to diameter. It may or may not exhibit size –related properties that differ significantly from observed in fine particles or bulk materials. It has paved a way for exploring new invention in many fields. Bionanoparticles are nanoparticles which are obtained from the extract from the barks, roots, leaves, fruits of the plants and trees. This shows a variety of application in fields like medical, optical, electrical, magnetic. Silver nanoparticles has a unique property which plays an essential role in antibacterial mechanism. This article is a overview of antimicrobial effects of bionanoparticles, biosynthesis, mechanism on bacteria and their application in various fields.
