To make a survey on the selection, usage, sterilisation and the method of disposal of dental burs.
The motive of this survey is to evaluate the knowledge of practioners on dental bur selection, its usage, sterilisation procedure and the method of disposal of burs.
The dental bur is used to remove decay and shape tooth structure prior to the insertion of a filling or crown. Most of the dental restorations like crowns, fixed partial dentures are done with burs. To maximise aesthetics, improve fracture resistance, optimise laboratory works and maintain soft tissue health precise tooth preparation is required.
It is done to enhance the knowledge about selection, usage, sterilisation and method of disposal of dental burs.
