Several attempts have been done to use different species of Hypomyces for the control of plant parasites. Though not much work has been done, this study was undertaken to explore antioxidant, antimicrobial and anticancer activity of Hypomyces chrysospermus through different screening tests. Antimicrobial activities were studied by agar well diffusion method against nine clinical pathogens. The total antioxidant capacity was evaluated by the DPPH assay and followed by cytotoxity activity on humam osteocarcoma (MG 63) cell line, using methanol extract as well as Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) was performed for the separation of different components of the extract. Volatile extract of Hypomyces chrysospermus were also interpreted using Gas Chromatography and Mass spectrometry. Methanol extract of Hypomyces chrysospermus showed excellent antimicrobial activity against all tested pathogens. However only moderate antioxidant and anticancer activity was recorded.
