Awareness of Root Canal Treatment among People

The aim of this survey was to know the patient's expectation and their view about root canal.

This survey is conducted through a standardized questionnaire distributed to the patients visiting Saveetha dental college.

This is a questionnaire based survey that was conducted among patients visiting saveetha dental college. A sample of 100 was used and with the collected data, a statistical analysis was done.

Root canal treatment is the one in which the inflamed or infected pulp is removed and the inside of the tooth is carefully cleaned and disinfected, then filled and sealed with a rubber-like material called gutta-percha. Afterwards, the tooth is restored with a crown or filling for protection of the teeth.

This survey helps us to save the tooth by doing root canal treatment instead of getting it extracted in the benefit of patients.
