The study was conducted to know the status of different sowing methods used by the farmers of Rajasthan for sowing of cumin, coriander and fenugreek seeds. The traditional method of sowing for seed spices were mostly used by marginal and small farmers and some of the large farmers. Most of the farmers were used available seed cum fertilizer drill for sowing of cumin seed. The higher percentage of sowing by broadcasting method was recorded be 95.5% for coriander seed followed by fenugreek (93.1 %) and cumin (83%) by the marginal farmers. Small and marginal farmers mostly adopted the traditional practices of sowing for seed spices due to small land holding and limitation in adaptability of existing seed-cum-fertilizer drill for seed spices. Development of specially designed planter for seed spices can fulfil the need of marginal, small and medium farmers.
