This review provides an extensive and updated overview of phytoplasma diseases affecting major ornamental plants. Symptomatology, identification of the phytoplasma strains up to group and subgroup level and distribution in the most relevant traditional ornamental species has been discussed. This review aims to enhance understanding of phytoplasma diseases in ornamental plants and their economic implications.
