Analytical Method Development and Validation of Ritonavir: A Review

Ritonavir is an anti-retroviral drug used in the treatment of HIV/AIDS. Many times, Ritonavir is used alone and in combination with many anti-retroviral drugs. So far, around seventy nine analytical methods have been reported for various studies on analysis of Ritonavir in bulk, pharmaceutical formulations and biological fluids.

To abbreviate the various analytical techniques such as Chromatography, Spectrophotometry; Capillary electrophoresis for estimation of Ritonavir.

This article deals with the study of the various type of analytical techniques such as Chromatography, Spectrophotometry; Capillary electrophoresis and also other techniques such as LC-MS/MS, and their applicability in analysis of Ritonavir. These techniques are either explored for the quantification, detection of metabolite and also for stability-studies of the Ritonavir.
