The present paper makes an attempt to study role of informationa technology in rural area and its impact on the life line of the people. For this direction various hypothesis have been identified and questionaire distributed. In our study we found that the Information Technology (IT) have made significant contribution in the life of the rural people in some areas and still long way to go. It changed the life style of the people and a the rural people able to find new markets for their products.
