Abstract

Management institutions these days have a challenging task of developing the competency level of students. The dynamic business environment, increasing competition and changing technology is making the scenario more difficult in training and imparting knowledge to the students. The future will require change in the teaching methodology. In this background, this paper attempts to explore the various activity-based learning techniques. Activity- based learning is becoming increasingly popular in educational institutions as a tool to address the inadequacies of traditional teaching. The paper also describes some of the innovative activity-based learning methods like crosswords, card plays, creativity sessions etc. to make teaching methodology in management education more vibrant and to produce students who can apply the theoretical knowledge and can solve the problems according to the situation.
