An evaluative study of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan in Haryana

Education is important for both - the Individual and the Society. The healthy survival of Society is impossible without education. Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan is the National flagship programme for which large amount of funds is being spent to achieve the goal of Universalization of Elementary Education. Therefore, it becomes essential to evaluate this programme in terms of different aspects as School Grant, Teaching Learning Material Grant, Infrastructure facilities, In-service training programme etc. On the basis of the results the researchers also tried to suggest some guidelines for its effective implementation so that its goal i.e. Universalization of Elementary Education may be achieved in time which will provide the base for Universalization of Secondary Education.
