Abstract

The purpose of present investigation is to study the effect of anxiety & intelligence on academic achievement of Science students. The study was conducted on 150 students of 4 senior secondary schools of Rohtak district. General mental ability test by Jalota, Sinha's comprehensive test by Sinha & Sinha to measure anxiety & Achievement test in Chemistry Constructed by the investigator were used for data collection. The findings indicate that anxiety interferes only with academic achievement of students with low level of intelligence; it has no effect on the students with high intelligence.
