The present generation faces new problems in their life. Teachers need to be equipped with skills to help them tackle these new and more complex problems. Teacher in today's world, just having a bundle of knowledge will be equal to a book that is inactive and senseless. Mental health is an indivisible part of the general health and well-being. The positive value of mental health, which contributes to human well-being, quality of life and creativity is not accorded of high priority. If the teacher will be mentally healthy then he/she will be positive in his/her spirit that will affect his/her efficiency of teaching. This paper deals with the relationship of well-being and mental health of teacher educators teaching in colleges of education in Haryana. The sample consists of 500 teacher educators serving in colleges of education in Haryana state which includes 250 males and 250 females selected from 175 institutions. The tools used are general well-being measure by Dr Santosh Verma and Ms Amita Verma and mental health battery by Prof. Arun Singh and Alpana Sen Gupta. The results show that there is significant difference between the well-being of teacher educators (male and female) having high and low mental health. Thus the teacher educators who are the builders of future teachers should be mentally healthy so that they will have well-balanced personality to play a vital role in inculcating different values.
