Abstract

This paper gives the brief explanation of Linear Ultrasonic Motor (LUM) with dual sided stators. It consists of linear stators and two piezoelectric patches. This concept can be used in medical science (pipette device). The piezoelectric actuators are fixed to the linear stators at particular point. At the point when these actuators are energized by the harmonic excitation, it generates the vibrational characteristics in the attached linear stators. The finite element and analyzed results of operating frequency are compared with the vibration characteristics of the linear stators. The compared result of the analytical and finite element gives great promise. The outline of Linear Ultrasonic Motor with double sided stators yields a structure with two piezoelectric actuators with modest structure, the displacement can be achieved from both side compared to single sided stator.
