The present study was carried out to investigate the toxic impact of aluminium chloride on certain metabolic parameters in Wistar rats. Animals were assigned into two groups. Group I received double distilled water and served as control, whereas, Group II received aluminium chloride in the dose of 300 mg/kg. The animals were evaluated for the effects on major metabolic parameters such as total protein, glucose, urea and creatinine on 0th, 7th, 14th and 21st day of treatment. There were significant transitory metabolic changes observed on serum total protein, glucose and creatinine and no significant changes in serum urea level was observed with 21 day administration of aluminium chloride.
