Power system operation, control logic and control architecture consists of hardware and software protocols essential for acquiring system status and control signals. Exchange of system status and control signals is accomplished by Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems. Presently, electric power system operations are controlled and monitored by automated multi-agent system a substitue for SCADA system. A client server based control of distributed generator has being designed and modelled using MATLAB/SIMULINK. The simulation results presented show the seamless transition from grid connected mode of operation to an island mode of operation. The client-server control technique can be used to manage for managing the the operation of a microgrid system.
