Abstract

This study aims to investigate how employee engagement impacts staff retention at self-financing institutions affiliated with AKTU University and the University of Lucknow in Lucknow.

The sole subject of this study is the Self Finance Institute in Lucknow. The study involves higher education professors associated with AKTU University and the University of Lucknow. The sample size consists of 217 teachers.

All 217 respondents, comprising 100% of the sample, expressed agreement that the organization should take measures to enhance its organizational culture to improve staff retention in higher education in Lucknow.

Qualitative research is employed to gather data aimed at characterizing a topic rather than quantifying it. While the researcher is analyzing employees’ perceptions of engagement, which cannot be quantified, quantification is nevertheless performed to yield findings. However, this aspect does not constitute the primary focus of the study.

The study’s objective is to comprehend and assess the current factors affecting employee engagement at self-financing institutes. It endeavors to discuss the factors influencing employee engagement and their impact on retention in the context of self-financing institutes, a rapidly growing economic sector. The sector-specific nature of this research limits its broader applicability.
