The escalating climate crisis necessitates urgent and transformative measures across all sectors, with supply chains emerging as a critical area for intervention. This research, titled “A Strategic Framework for Decarbonizing Supply Chain Transactions through Innovative Initiatives,” addresses the imperative of decarbonizing supply chain transactions and explores pioneering green initiatives to reduce carbon emissions and promote sustainable business practices. This paper offers a comprehensive conceptual roadmap to foster a greener supply chain ecosystem through a rigorous examination of existing decarbonization strategies and the introduction of innovative approaches. The proposed roadmap integrates SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-Bound) Goals, FAST (Far-sighted and Futuristic; Ambitious and Actionable; Stretching and Significant; Transformational and Transparent) Decisions, and CLEAN (Circular Economy and Conservation principles; Low Carbon Footprint; Ecological Responsibility; Alternative Energy Sources; Net-Zero Impact) Implementation frameworks. This holistic approach combines strategic goal-setting with visionary decision-making and practical implementation strategies to advance responsible sustainability within supply chains. The research employs a conceptual methodological framework incorporating qualitative and quantitative measures. Extensive literature reviews and case examples provide the theoretical underpinnings. At the same time, the quantitative approach includes carbon footprint measurements, cost-benefit evaluations, and feasibility assessments of SMART goals and FAST decision-making. This evidence-based exploration ensures a thorough and actionable framework for achieving impactful and sustainable outcomes in supply chain management. The study unfolds a conceptual roadmap that synergizes specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-bound objectives with far-sighted, ambitious, stretching, and transformative decisions to achieve responsible sustainability.
