Abstract

Energy efficiency, eco-friendly, sustainable housing, and infrastructure can be achieved better through the disruptive intervention of innovative technologies in the new epoch. This research paper focuses on the essential context and criteria that influence relevant dimensions to accomplish the objective approach to affordable housing. Housing difficulties have been the most essential aspect of human life from the beginning of time. The emergence of urban life, with demands for psychological and social requirements, has multiplied. People are interested in housing from a variety of perspectives, and designers contribute to affordable housing, family relationships, and social housing, associating and accommodating commonalities in economics, governance, and other macro policies. However, due to the expanding population and subsequent requirement for housing, as well as for defining people’s residential wants in several aspects, the necessity of this research is significant. This descriptive research study is concentrated on the application of three key components of sustainable development, i.e., environmental, economic, and social, in the context of affordable residential housing with ecological concern. This research paper has used a questionnaire survey primarily to investigate with a 5-point Likert scale, employing tools and techniques using SPSS. This research study has assumed that more than half of the land is committed to residential use, and the goal is to achieve sustainable urban development for sustainable, affordable housing patterns in Bhubaneswar.
