Abstract

Effective healthcare waste management is crucial since mishandling hospital trash may lead to illnesses, affecting both healthcare personnel and the population. The waste generated consists of smoke and gaseous discharges, liquid effluents and emissions, solid waste, and radioactive waste. Each of these waste groups has the capacity to propagate infectious illnesses and other hazards. Hospital admissions, surgical procedures, and outpatient activities are often used as indicators for healthcare activities, serving as a good estimate of the amount of healthcare waste. The current study was constructed in a monolithic manner with the coordination of MSME and Global Family Initiative, then verified by several case-studies on how hospital waste will be managed with the coordination of MSME and Global Health Initiative. The process included steps such as product design, design and development, raw material selection, and process planning. During the execution of the suggested models, each stage included essential production stages such as waste creation, waste material logistics, and trash disposal. All these stages coalesced to create several channels that ultimately lead to trash disposal. The repercussions were subsequently examined to infer conclusions. In conclusion, the paper’s compiled data suggests that incorporating Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and Global Family Initiative (GFIs) into medical waste management may result in the implementation of climate-resilient approaches. These integrated apps would assist healthcare organizations in attaining the associated Sustainable Development Goals.
