This study is implicated with the comparative analysis of the textbook of English of Class IX of CBSE and ICSE Board. This analysis is between two boards of curricula for Class IX. The researcher attempt to know about these two important boards. The proposed study is quantitative in nature because the data which was analysed consists of people’s knowledge, opinions and feelings that are part of human experiences. As educators it is our duty to know the similarities and dissimilarities. In this study the researcher find out that how these boards are important for the exterior progress of students. The detailed procedure for comparing the various dimensions of the textbook has been described by descriptive content analysis. In this study few content is similar, but stress and focus is not same. It was found out that the textbook of CBSE Board is more satisfactory than the ICSE. board in language aspect.
