Abstract

The present research paper provides an overview of education policies on school education in India. The paper analyses economic reforms and changing educational policies in India, later it provides the pattern of expenditure on school education under various educational polices starting from National economic policy 1968. In the next section the developments made in primary education are reflected in addition to the government and NGO initiatives in this field. The last section provides conclusion to this research paper.
