The economic impact of tourism development on destination is understood at the local level and mostly to understand the present status of tourism in developing countries, tourism is encouraged at the local level due to ability to generate employment in hotels, resorts, restaurants, cottages, parks, transport operators, travel agents, entertainment and local business. Also change their lifestyle and it provides support to the other sectors of the economy. A vital role is played by the local services in attracting tourists to a tourism destination. When the tourists are satisfied more than expected they tend to stay longer to enjoy the happiness. Satisfaction were measured by efficiency, service quality, social value, play, aesthetics, perceived monetary cost, perceived risk, time & effort spent and perceived value This paper attempts to determine the extent to which foreign tourists were satisfied, compared to their expectations with local services in Kodaikanal.
