Abstract

There is undeniably crisis in economic, environmental and social conditions throughout the world. Economic issues on the disparity between growth and distribution have not been resolved and have created various effects. Issues of pollution, extinction of species, global warming, and the decrease of non-renewable natural resources are a source of environmental concern. Resulting from these issues are increases in stress, and mental health problems, with a growing suicide rate together with an increasing number of single parent families, divorce and general breakdown of family life. The existing business mode seems to be incompetent to address these issues. Business needs to unleash its full potential to contribute to social and environmental challenges, and to increase global well-being. The main purpose of this paper is precisely to link and apply the study of ancient oriental philosophies to contribute to business management, strategy & leadership at the global level.
