Abstract

The present paper focus on the effectiveness of marketing and distribution strategies used for the consumer goods like Titan Watches. Marketing is used to identify the customer, satisfy the customer, and keep the customer. With the customer as the focus of its activities, marketing is one of the major components of business management. Marketing evolved to meet the desires and demands of the customers in developing new markets caused by mature markets and overcapacities in the last 2–3 centuries. Effective Marketing channels and Distribution strategies helps to attract and satisfy the customer. The inclusion of marketing and distribution strategies is to effectively educate and distribute the goods and services to the targeted customers. The adoption of marketing strategies requires businesses to shift their focus from production to the perceived needs and wants of their customers as the means of staying profitable. The analysis made with the help of both primary data through structured questionnaire and secondary data through various sources like books, articles and published materials. It also concentrates on the concept of function of marketing, marketing strategy programmes strategy and effective distribution channels used by the marketing firms for their effective marketing activities etc. Finally it attempts to offer affordable suggestions and suitable conclusions to enhance the effectiveness of marketing and distribution strategies to Watch making industry.
