Stress is psychological and physical reaction over a certain event or situation of the daily routine life. Sources of stress and potential solution to stress related problems or situations have been identified at both the organizational and individual level both. To examine the potential level of stress and the reasons of stress, it is required to examine or to study the individual characteristics and their patterns of interaction with the external environment like society, organization and internal environment like their family. As the external and internal factors of individual may increase the likelihood of stress at work it is directly associated with their overall productivity and performance at the workplace. There is wide range of the complex personal factors which may increase the possibilities or probabilities of work related stress. It is not easy to define and segregate the individual potential factors susceptibility and receptiveness. So it is required to develop a methodology or a combination of approaches which could be used to identify the category and rigorousness of stress producing factors at the Individual level.
As according to the types and patterns of life style several challenges and hassles can affect the individual life and work style or productivity at a great extent. So it is a crucial and significant issue to examine the possible potential factors which contribute in stress generation in individual, as these stressors affects the productivity of individual so it is require managing them, for this studying the factors and their impact on individual level become significant at organizational and individual level in present days. This study is an effort to examine the potential sources of stress in the employees of selected five star hotels of Udaipur at their individual level.
