Abstract

The present paper is an attempt to focus on the nature of linkage appearing in the Gems and Jewellery informal localized industry in West Bengal. The specificity of the industry is that its production units are concentrated in specific geographical locations. Different spatial locations of the industry are linked. The present study is an incorporation to explore the nature of such linkage relationship between locations. The logical argumentation of the study is based on case studies conducted, and the primary survey results. The micro-level field surveys, sampling design and data analysis of the study conducted is based on the standard model approach.
