A study on effect e-business on supply chain management with reference to small and medium enterprises in Chennai

E-Business solution has transformed Supply Chain Management and operations efficiently and effectively. This paper assesses the impact of E-business application system on Supply Chain practices and thus it creates drastic change in industry integration process resulting in increasing efficiency and cost cutting. The study considers type of E business system, Supply Chain Enabler, benefit of supply chain, supply chain performance, E business enablers, E business influence on infrastructure, inventory management, transportation management, order processing management, customer service management and production scheduling. The Structured Questionnaire was used to collect data from 64 small and medium size enterprises. The data are analyzed using Chi Square and Multiple Regression. The result of the study show that the influences of E business on Supply Chain management which includes there is a significant relationship between number of years and E business system and found that supplier entry method has more impact on supply chain performance.
