Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) is an emerging concept in the Banking Sector since 2000. Sufficient research work has been conducted in this area highlighting the use, utility and the opportunity of growth and expansion of the banking sector in regards to BPR. In the 21st Century to accept the challenges, the banking sector involved people, product and process in an innovative way. Both private and public sector bank are coming up with new innovative projects for successful implementations of Business Process Re-engineering. The present study undertaken in both private and Public sector banks i.e. ICICI & SBI to understand the importance and status of BPR in both the banks a comparative analysis has been undertaken statistical tools like ANOVA and Multiple Duncan Range Test has been adopted to examine the primary data which are collected trough a questionnaire.
