Generally, the rural population of India is involved in farming in which the farmers focus on growing enough food to feed themselves and their families. Now a days it is observed that there is a high rate of movement of poor landless people from the rural areas to the urban areas in search of desirable land for farming and appropriate job to meet the basic necessities food, water, shelter and clothing. Due to this there is a substantial intrusion on Government and Public land. There are several legal provisions for the protection and management of Government and Public land. Land record keeping is being maintained since ancient time. Earlier, landowners were less, so management of land was not much more confusing and disturbing. Slowly, the land becomes prime source of income and more important among the people. With the smooth development, the people were more interested in buying and selling the land. That is why; the job of land management was more hectic. Agriculture offers the primary earnings of income for over 58.4% of India's population. It gives approximately one-fifth of total gross domestic product (GDP). Agriculture accounts for about 10% of the total export earnings and provides raw material to a large number of industries. Low and volatile growth rates and the recent boom of agricultural crisis in several parts of the Indian countryside, however, are a threat not only to national food security, but also to the economic well-being of the nation as a whole.
