Abstract

The study attempts to investigate whether any relationship exists between the crude oil price fall and the natural rubber price decline. The study is inspired by the recent and growing debate on the lead lag relationship between the crude oil and natural rubber. Our findings based on past 5 years price of both products and subject to limitations, tend to suggest that the crude oil price and natural rubber price are cointegrated. The simple correlation model is used to indicate it and pointing towards growing importance for supporting measures for the two prominences.
