Despite the current global economic crisis, the Indian Economy according to the data published by the Government of India and various economic research agencies highlighting that it's GDP growth rate is not affected to a great extent, so the employment level also. But in spite of this the unemployment level among the educated youth is on steady rise, though the Government both at the Centre and State have taken various steps to generate employment. According to Indian Labour Bureau data, “New jobs in eight labour intensive industries fill to a six year low in the first nine months of 2015. This article intense to analyze how far the global economic crises increased unemployment level among the various segments of the society, especially the educated one, and how this can be tackled with the support various innovative programmes launched by the current Union Government, both in rural and urban areas.
