Abstract

The speed of internet has changed the way people receive the information. It combines the immediacy of the broadcast with the in-depth coverage of newspaper and other sources of information's. Social media is one such phenomenon that is mind blogging at the pace at which its growth is maddening. The terms of sustainability, is a moderate level of consumption, together with strong social institutions and a healthy environment, represents a better idea than ever-increasing consumption. Sustainability, however, is more than limits on population or restraint in consumption - though these are important. It means that the choice of goods and technologies must be oriented to the requirements of ecosystem integrity and species diversity as well as to social goals. The above explains the realm of sustainability. But in real world of life, there has a very wider scope. There is a wide level of sustainability through Social Media. Social Media has been an integral part of everybody's lifestyle today and it plays the role of a decision maker. Social Media is a mechanism to reach out to commoners who are less expressive but wish for a change and that change can be achieved by propaganda of the issues with the help of social advertisements through social media marketing. The question always lies; can there be sustainability in India through Social Media? The answer is Yes! There can be. The paper concentrates on the sustaining Indian development through Social Media.
