Abstract

According to Peter Ducker an organisation is like a tune. It is not constituted by individual sounds but by their synthesis. The success of an organisation will depend upon its ability to measure accurately the performance of its members and use its objectivity to optimise them as a vital resource. The Performance Appraisal system plays a very important role in success of any organisation. It not only motivates employees but also improves the productivity level of any organisation. Though the need of performance appraisal is generated in every organisation but there is a difference in public and private sector. The study seeks to investigate the staff performance in Tourism Industry of Rajasthan. The objective of the study is to access the performance appraisal of employees in Tourism Industry of Rajasthan. To know the way method used in doing the performance appraisal of employees .To identify how the performance of employees can be improved and focuses on providing the suggestions and recommendations to improve their performance appraisal. Data was collected through interviews and questionnaires and analyse using percentage. Convenience Sampling has been used in the Study. Sample size was 150. Findings of the study state that Industry offers its good services and opportunities to the employees. The employees are satisfied with their job as well as rating system used for the measurement of performance appraisal system.
