All manufacturing and processing units require a set of resources, a procedure, implements or machines to produce a product or service. It is not that only the processing or manufacturing staff or workforce requires skill upgradation, but at the same time the personnel engaged in support services also need skill upgradation or training. The training need analysis is considered as the initial step in a cyclical process which contributes to the overall training and educational strategy of staff in an organisation or a professional group. Review of literature justifies the reason for our research. The objectives of the study is to study the training need analysis process across the different organisation and also to analyze the interrelatedness between training need analysis process of different organisations. Keeping in mind the objectives of the present research problem, industry's HR departments were contacted for supplying the information about the human resource and also for advising the work force to participate in the exercise. Various statistical tools were used to check the hypothesis. The respondents were analysed on the basis of age, gender, marital status, and level of income.
