Abstract

The experiences, knowledge and skills in both areas of physical and emotional acquired in adolescence have important implications for an individual's prospects in adulthood. If the adolescents cannot perceive, understand, regulate and function with their emotions it will leave indelible marks ontheir behaviour and personality. This interventional study focuses on improving Emotional intelligence among adolescents by using life skills training module. A pre-post test design was used for the current study. The current study comprised of 170 adolescents in the age group of 13 to 15 yrs. Scutte emotional intelligence scale were used for pre and post design. The students who scored low on the scale were selected for the Life skill training. The results were analyzed using paired sample t test to examine pre post test mean difference which revealed a significant increase in the scores of Emotional Intelligence.
