Abstract

Menstruation remains a key area of interest in gender based research because of its complex relationship with women and society. This qualitative study was held with the objective of understanding women’s choice of absorbent, the reason for such choice and its effect on them. The study explores how girls and women in the rural India manage menstruation and also understand the underlying socio-cultural causes for their appalling condition in these societies.
