Abstract

Sport, a physical activity is present everywhere, from a country to a small city it can be seen in every corner, in every street, played by every age group for entertainment, also for national competitions. These national and international events are been regulated by various types of committees but without a specified and strict law, all of this becomes inoperable. Same as law, the objective of these committees is also not fulfilled completely. Sports is a national as well as international expression which exists in different forms and also in the present time it has become a multi-billion-dollar global business. The existing situation has rotten the ethical practice of sports and has made it an unequal competition among the nation where there is no strict rules and regulation been enforced. This article covers problems such as that of match- fixing, broadcasting, gambling, betting and other related issues prevailing in the field of sports, also it has covered some of the possible solutions through which the present situation can be converted into a better state. The idea of a fair and ethical way of playing and that of sportsmanship from the 19th century still is in a process to shape itself nearer to perfection.
