Abstract

The fundamental objective of this research paper was to examine institutional and policy support satisfaction of young entrepreneurs in Micro and Small Enterprises in Cuttack and Khurda districts of Odisha. The study was undertaken by non-probability purposive sampling conducted on 450 young entrepreneurs. In order to draw effective inferences, analysis was performed by using SPSS 23.0 version. The result indicated that the majority of the male respondents are seldom young entrepreneurs with basic and manageable pre knowledge of entrepreneurs. The entrepreneurs have a good attitude towards their business. For measurement of institutions and policy support satisfaction, fifteen independent variables have been considered for the study. Results show that the entrepreneurs face financial challenges because of the high collateral needs from financial institutions, but they continue to have good relationships with customers. The entrepreneurs require sufficient credit inflows, corporate governance, employment index, domestic credit, quality and research support. Overall, there is always ample scope remaining for improvement, development and exploration of their business.
