The purpose of this paper is to discuss the case studies of successful women entrepreneurs in slum areas of the Municipalities in Kadapa District. The present study focuses on the qualitative dimensions of SHGs on specific occupation, income, life skills, knowledge, awareness levels and its impact on the economic status of the members. After having the detailed observation on the case studies of slum women and their lifestyle in study area, one can realize that nothing is impossible to the women if she strongly decided to take up any challenging activity through her constant commitment and dedication towards fulfilling the goals. Hence, challenges caused by the negative stereotypes and traditions, culture of Indian society are needed to overcome by the women to get success in their businesses. The present research contributes to a better understanding of the important group of slum women entrepreneurs.
