Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, the dominant business software for corporations worldwide, coordinate the enterprise with a common database and shared information across all functional areas of a firm. The common database that stores financial information, employee information, supplier information, and customer information is ripe for invasion and deception. The problem is exasperated by the system architecture and laxity of enterprise software.
