Data Masking Technique in Oracle VLDB - An Effective Approach

Data security has been always on the top priority for the organizations. The data which is maintained in database may be simple or complex in nature. Similarly security policies for the data can also be simple or complex depending upon the amount of security needed to provide to the database. Oracle's Virtual Private Database (VPD) feature allows for the creation of customized data objects that do not physically exist, but can be generated virtually out of objects that do exist in the database. We may consider Virtual Private Database (VPD) feature in Oracle as a useful tool in situations where application level security requirements cannot be provided. But sometime we may come across scenarios where we will not be able to make use of VPD due to typical business requirements, on data security.
