Abstract

Bullying and sexual harassment are two of the most common kinds of harassment in the workplace. Workplace harassment is unwelcome verbal, written or physical conduct that either denigrates or shows hostility or aversion towards a person on the basis of race, sex color, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, veteran status, political affiliation, or disability, that:1) has the purpose or effect of creating intimidating, hostile or offensive work environment; 2) has the purpose or effect of unreasonably interfering with an employee's work performance; or 3) affects an employee's employment opportunities or compensation Sexual harassment has been recognized as a serious problem in the literature over the past 30 years. In this paper, an attempt has been made to define the concept of sexual harassment, types, review the existing research, harassment policy adopted by the Corporate, its impact, disciplinary action for the harasser and finally, preventive action taken by the employer.
