Organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) supports the interest of an organization without being considered as a part of the core job. It contributes to the overall effectiveness of the organization although authors like MCKerzie et. Al (1991) did not find correlation between OCB and objective sales performance of sales people. The results of Podsakoff et al (1997) were positively driven. The authors tried to study OCB of IT executives on the parameters of gender, age, experience and qualification. While gender had no significant influence on OCB, qualification had. Higher age and experienced executives showed higher tendency to good OCB.
