The Leadership Characteristics

Few people leave lasting impression on us for their vision, love, trust, passion and consistency. This quality that we call leadership is the catalyst to enable organizations to differentiate from one another and to be successful in majority of merger and acquisition cases. Peter F. Ducker pointed out that business leaders would be the basic and the scarcest resource for a business enterprise. This research was confined to managerial aspects of routine matters and attempted to analyze the leadership requirements in a state like Manipur. It was found that leadership must integrate personality and behavior. The leader-follower dyad would influence attitude towards adopting effective leadership practices. It was also found out that a leader must persevere in the change process and must be prepared to face multitude huddles for change.
