Abstract

Emotional Intelligence is the ability of an individual to perceive access and manage emotions of his own self and of other people. Developing emotional intelligence requires one to unlearn old habits of thought, feeling and action that are deeply ingrained, and grow new ones. Such a process takes motivation, effort, time, support and sustained practice. In this study, an attempt has been made to identify the determinant factors that influence emotional intelligence as depended variable. The present study is focused on two major objectives, that is, i) to study the significant impact of Emotional intelligence on the behaviour of employees of Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Ltd (OPTCL) and ii) to analyse the role of emotional intelligence in work-related outcomes. The present study is intended to study the impact of emotional intelligence of the employees on job performance.
