Abstract

Stress has become a part of everyone's job. High level of stress causes imbalances in the work and family life of employees, especially when they are performing challenging jobs like that of police constable. This may lead to high absenteeism, low job satisfaction and more turnover intention. The present study was aimed to find the effects of stress on work-life balance of female police personnel of Andhra Pradesh and to find the impact of demographics of the respondents on their stress. Percentage, independent sample t-test, analysis of variance (ANOVA) and linear regression were conducted to meet the objectives. The results revealed that there was a positive correlation between stress and work-life balance, and stress was the predictor of work-life balance.
